Vote Lydia Green for Democratic District Leader on June 28th

  • District Leader, or State Committee member, is an unpaid position within the Brooklyn Democratic party. While District Leaders can't pass legislation, they do have a say over the inner workings of the party, judicial elections, and staffing of the Board of Elections. The District Leader position also has the potential to organize local communities and grow the party, which will be Lydia’s focus when elected to the role. You can read more about the position of District Leader here.

  • Lydia believes that as one of the highest turnout districts in the state and the center of political activism in Brooklyn, the 52nd Assembly District is the engine that drives the progressive reform movement. As District Leader, Lydia will work to build the party, educate the public, and promote redistributing resources. Read the full platform.
